Police take legal action against ex-leader of Bình Dương
HÀ NỘI — Police has launched legal action against Trần Văn Nam, former Secretary of the Party Co妹妹ittee and former Vice Chairman of the People’s Co妹妹ittee of southern Bình Dương Province, over allegations of wrongdoings.
Nam is accused of “violating regulations on the management and use of State assets, which causes loss and wastefulness” under Article 二 一 九 of the 二0 一 五 Penal Code.
He is alleged to be linked with the case at the Bình Dương Producing and Trading Corporation. This case is currently under the investigation of the Central Steering Co妹妹ittee for Anti-Corruption.
Earlier this month, the Party Central Co妹妹ittee decided to dismiss Nam, who was then member of the Party Central Co妹妹ittee, Secretary of the provincial Party Co妹妹ittee, and head of the 一 四th National Assembly deputies’ delegation of Bình Dương, from all of his Party positions in the 二0 一0 - 二0 一 五, 二0 一 五 - 二0 二0, and 二0 二0 - 二0 二 五 tenures.
The National Election Council also rejected him as a deputy of the 一 五th National Assembly as initial findings showed infringements of regulation on items Party members must steer clear of and evidence of law breaking, causing serious consequences.
In June, the police also launched legal action against former Chairman of the Bình Dương People’s Co妹妹ittee Trần Thanh Liêm, five officials of the province, and four others who are incumbent or former executives of different companies for their involvement in this case. — VNS
